In the ten years she’s spent employed by various newspapers in the Lower Mainland as both reporter and photographer, Rebecca Blissett has become known for the human connection in her work. Her unique and artistic approach behind the lens has earned her numerous awards and recognition throughout her career at both the provincial and national levels.
Rebecca’s skill as a photographer has flourished during her career and she now enjoys freelancing for publications such as URB magazine and the UK-based fRoots in addition to being a regular contributor for Canada's largest urban weekly, the Georgia Straight magazine.
Her versatility enables her to shoot everything from rock concerts, fashion spreads, to front cover features, and her approach is always honest and insightful. Whether photographing the underground world of street dealers, a high school basketball championship final, or a children’s swim competition, Rebecca Blissett truly sees with the sensitive eye of an artist and crafted skill of a journalist.
